Wenger Rules out Terry Move


Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has ruled out signing John
Terry after the defender confirmed he is set to leave
Chelsea.

Terry will depart Stamford Bridge at the end of the current
campaign after revealing he would not be offered a new deal
by the Premier League champions.

But Wenger refuted claims that the Gunners could make an
audacious bid for the 35-year-old as he would only play for

"If he plays longer, it will be for Chelsea," he told reporters
when asked about a possible move for the former England
captain.

The veteran French coach did pay tribute to Terry, though,
saying: "Great player, still is and is great coach on the pitch.
Has had a great career."
