The Italian faces further competiton for his place after the signing of Danny Ings and his representative is keen to speak to the Reds about the striker's future

The former Chelsea forward made just three Premier League starts for the Reds during the 2014-15 season, and failed to even make the squad for their final five matches of the campaign.
The 24-year-old could fall further down the pecking order at Anfield after the club confirmed a deal was in place to sign Burnley's Danny Ings.
Sunderland and QPR both previously moved to sign the striker, with a transfer to the Stadium of Light collapsing last summer, and his representative Marco de Marchi is now planning talks with Liverpool over the player's future.
"Soon we will have to talk to Liverpool,” he toldCalciomercato.it.
“Several teams have asked for Fabio on loan but the Liverpool board have always refused, especially in light of the £10 million bid that was rejected last year from Sunderland.”
