CAF Confederation Cup: Vipers Coach set Quarter Final Target and Enyimba Upset

Nigerian champions Enyimba may well prepare for an imminent elimination from the 2016 CAF Champions League if the words of their opponents in Friday’s first leg, preliminary round game are to be taken seriously.

Enyimba are away to Vipers on Friday in a CAF Champions
League first leg, preliminary round fixture and coach of the Ugandan champions, George Best Nsimbe has already stated he is looking beyond the two-time African champions and has set for himself a quarterfinal target.

Vipers are only making their debut in Africa’s premier club competition and despite being up against a seemingly more formidable opponent in their first task, Nsimbe remained unfazed about what he expects to achieve with the club.

He said: “The team is well-prepared, well-balanced and I believe I can use my experience to get it far in the tournament. My target is precisely to see us reach the quarter finals; I believe this is a realistic and achievable target,” he said.

The game comes up at the Nakivubo Stadium at 4pm local time, which is 2pm Nigerian time. The return leg holds at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba two weeks after.

Meanwhile, the gate fees have been fixed for Shs. 5000 (about 290 Naira) for regular side and Shs. 10,000 (about 580 Naira) for VIP tickets.
