Lobi Stars names Micheal Idoko as new Vice Chairman

Mike Idoko has been named vice chairman of Lobi Stars by
the Benue state government with Barnabas Imenger and
Godwin Uwua as team manager and head coach
respectively.

This development was revealed by the Secretary to the
Benue State government, Targema Takema on Wednesday.

According to Goal, Imenger contested as vice chairman of
the team, lost and retained his position as team manager.

Idoko is staging a comeback to football administration after
he left Sunshine Stars where he served in various capacities
before he was displaced by the current chairman of the
Ondo State Football Agency (OSFA), Akin Akinbobola.

Lobi had Dominic Iorfa as Vice Chairman for over 14 years
and under his administration, the club won a Federation Cup
title in 2003 and lost in the final on three different occasions
in 2005, 2012 and 2015. The club also placed third in the
league in the 2012/2013 season which fetched them a Caf
Confederation Cup ticket.

Iorfa also kept Lobi in the premier league all through his stay
with the club and also operated a virile feeder team which
produced Stephen Eze, Moses Orkuma, Anthony Okpotu,
Terkaa Melai among others into the senior team.
