Olivier Giroud has lashed out at his compatriot and a former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry as he declared that the new Sky Sports pundit is too “dull” hence he needed to say something controversial to get attention.
Henry after the Gunners played a 0-0 draw with Chelsea at the Emirates weeks back launched a scathing attack on Giroud; claiming the France international does not have the ability to fire the club to the Premier League title.
Arsene Wenger immediately defended his striker, and Giroud has now personally hit back at Henry’s criticisms with a barb at the 37-year-old’s punditry skills.
“I heard he was saying too many dull things. That was a bomb & it had its desired effect,” he told L’Equipe.
“I think Giroud is doing extremely well but can you win the league with him? I wouldn’t think so,” he told Sky Sports.
