Nigeria U23 to face Brazil in international friendly; Siasia confirms


Nigeria U23 handler Samson Siasia has confirmed to Goal that his boys will face Brazil U23 in an international friendly in March.

The Dream Team VI picked one of Africa’s slot for the 2016 Olympics having emerged champions of the Caf U23 African Cup of Nations in Senegal.

 “I am happy that my plans to put my team in a high level preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games has commenced,” Siasia toldGoal.

“Despite the fact that we are still waiting for the go ahead order from the National Sports Commission to kick start our camping in Abuja, I am happy that we will play an international friendly match with the U23 national team of Brazil on March 24, 2016 tentatively.”

It was also gathered that the venue for the match has not been decided because the Nigeria Football Federation is considering a good venue that will be easier for the invited players. 

 “Yes there is going to be an international friendly between the Dream Team VI and Brazil, but the actually date of the match in March and the venue will be decided next week”, he said.
