Nasarawa United is ready for Generation Foot, says Dogo

Head coach of Nasarawa United, Kabir Dogo has revealed that his team is ready to face Generation Foot in the Caf Confederation Cup in Abuja.

The Solid Miners will welcome the Senegalese side in the preliminary round of Caf Confederation Cup on February 14 at the Abuja National Stadium.

The Lafia based team was one of the four teams that featured in the concluded Nigeria Professional Football League Super Four tournament bagging eight points which put them behind the winners, Akwa United.

Coach Dogo said that his team in now ready to face Confederation Cup opponent, Generation Foot after adequate preparations from the Super Four.

“Everybody is ready for the task to go out there to get decent result against Generation Foot of Senegal,” Dogo told Supersport.com.

“We want to beat the Senegalese side convincingly to make the second leg over there in Dakar an easy one,” he said.

“We understand that Generation Foot are a good side, we too are equally not bad, so they will surely meet their equal on Sunday.

“We will beat them, that’s our message to Nigerians to start the campaign on a winning note,” he said further.

The head coach also applauded the organisation of the NPFL Super Four tournament and gave assurances that the campaign was enough to ride on its back for success.

“The just concluded NPFL Super Four tournament has given us the confidence to challenge any side anywhere and we are sure of a good result.
 “We are satisfied with what we achieved in the tournament at least it showed us the area to further improve upon before we head off to the continent,” he concluded.
