Governor Ganduje splashes N2m on Kano Pillars for Rangers win

The former champions have been rewarded for their impressive comeback victory against the Flying Antelopes by the Kano state governor

Governor Abdulahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has splashed two million Naira on Kano Pillars following their dramatic comeback win against Enugu Rangers in Kano.

The former champions came from a goal down in their opening Nigeria Professional Football League match of the season to beat Rangers 2-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

Goals from Gambo Mohammed and late strike from new signing Prince Aggrey cancelled visitors' lead to put the Sai Masu Gida boys atop of the NPFL log after week one games.

Delighted governor Ganduje further assured the team of his government's committment to providing moral and financial support to it's activities.

In a response, team's chairman, Kabir Baita applauded the generosity of the governor and has assured the team will sustain its top performance to make the state and people of Kano proud.

Baba Ganaru's men have travelled to Warri to keep a date with Warri wolves for a week two tie at the Warri Township stadium on Wednesday.
