The Solid Miners handler has insisted that his men are not going to give up on their pursuit of the Confederation Cup, and says they cannot be doubted just yetKabiru Dogo has warned his critics that Nasarawa United are not yet out of the Caf Confederation Cup despite a slim 2-1 win against Generation Foot in the preliminary round first leg.
The Solid Miners on Sunday were also humiliated at the Lafia Stadium by newcomers, MFM FC, in their first game of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
However, Dogo says the Solid Miners will fight until the end and insists talk of elimination is premature.
"We are still in the Caf Confederation Cup ,” he told Goal. “It is unfair to rule us out too quickly.
“My boys should not be judged by our result against MFM FC because we gave our best and in football, you can’t win all the time.
"Although, the situation going to Dakar is not ideal, but we have to keep working hard and I’m very sure we will scale through Generation Foot hurdle,” he concluded.
Nasarawa United are expected to depart the shores of the country on Tuesday night for Dakar ahead of this weekend’s game against Generation Foot.
The Confederation of African Football has named Ghanaian officials to take charge of the match. Hamidu Seidu Bomison will serve as the referee, with Ibrahim Adams Badiu, Dawood Brimah Yamdogo Ouedraogo and Cecil Amatey Fleischer as assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 and reserve referee respectively.
Algeria’s Mohammed Boukarroum is the match commissioner.
