360 Official: Totheham Release Adebayor

Tottenham have announced striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been released by the club after an agreement was reached with the player.

The Togo international was linked with summer moves to Aston Villa and West Ham, and is now free to join a new club with his deal at White Hart Lane cut short.

The former Arsenal forward joined Spurs in 2012, but struggled to establish himself back in north London and leaves the club having scored 24 goals in 76 appearances.

The club revealed:

We can confirm that we've reached a mutual agreement with @E_Adebayor which will see him released from his contract with the Club.
