Enyimba coach Paul Aigbogun is confident of a ‘good result’ when they face Ugandan champions Viper on Friday in a CAF Champions League preliminary round, first leg game in Wakiso.
The Nigerian champions arrived Entebbe midnight on Tuesday and proceeded to Wakiso, where their opponents are based and speaking to Goal, Aigbogun was upbeat about their chances.
“I believe we can get a good result in the game,” he said. “I think we have prepared well and the mood in camp has been good.
The boys understand this is the highest stage and they know what is at stake so, I’m confident,” he said.
Aigbogun was however quick to note it won’t be a stroll in the park as he expects the Ugandans to want to start with a win.
“I don’t expect it to be an easy game because they will also want a win and that will make things difficult.
“We have to respect them and any opponents we face but we also have to believe in ourselves and what we can do because if we don’t, then it’s a lost battle already,” he added.
