Zinedine Zidane insists Isco and James Rodriguez will be
“very important” to Real Madrid amid rumours claiming that
both were unhappy under Rafa Benitez.
Benitez was sacked on Monday after just seven months in
charge with Zidane appointed as his replacement.
Isco and James were reportedly unhappy with the decisions
made during Benitez’s reign, while both were unused
substitutes in the Spaniard’s final game in charge - Sunday’s
2-2 draw at Valencia.
Goal also understands that Madrid and Manchester City are
in talks over a potential loan move for Isco, although the
Spanish club will now review that situation following
Zidane’s arrival.
"All the players will be important,” said Zidane on Tuesday.
“James and Isco will be very important for the team."
"The important thing will be to motivate all players. There's
been a change, but Benitez's job has been good and I wish
him luck.
"I will try to bring a personal touch to the team. I want my
football to be different, and balanced."
