Nigeria topflight side Wikki Tourists have secured the
services of former players Samuel Chukwudi and Godwin
Obaje after unsuccessful spells abroad.
Coach of the team, Abdu Maikaba told Goal that aside the
acquisition of the duo, the club has also secured the
services of Ezekiel Michael, Gambo Gideon , Samuel Agba
and Josiah Maduabuchi.
The team boasts of five teams from Bauchi origin with some
players handed promotion from the feeders’ team.
“We have signed players we feel will enable us achieve our
set objectives. Obaje and Chukwudi were with us last
season before they travelled abroad for greener pasture.
They are back with us and we have added Gambo, Ezekiel
Michael and few more to bolster the team,” coach Maikaba
told Goal.
“We don’t want any misfortune to befall us this term and we
are going to start the race right from the start of the
season.”
Wikki placed fourth at the end of last season with 63 points
from 38 matches and will open next league season account
against El Kanemi Warriors at the Karkanda Stadium .
