as the ideal long-term replacement for Jose Mourinho, who
was sacked in December after a turbulent start to the
season.
Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone, former Chile boss Jorge
Sampaoli and France coach Didier Deschamps are the other
names on Chelsea’s radar.
Pep Guardiola remains an option and it’s claimed that
Roman Abramovich has not given up hope of trying to lure
the Spaniard to Stamford Bridge this summer, despite
interest from Manchester City and Manchester United.
Chelsea are looking for a manager who places faith in the
club’s youth players and have been impressed with how
Pochettino has nurtured young talent at both Southampton
and Tottenham.
