Jurgen Klopp has admitted Mario Balotelli's future has not
even crossed his mind yet as he has no time to consider
anything other than Liverpool's current squad and fixture
schedule.
The Italian, who is on a season-long loan at AC Milan, is
contractually due to return to Merseyside at the end of that
spell, however, there has been no indication yet as to
whether the forward is wanted by Klopp.
Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola revealed over the weekend that
he was planning on holding talks with the manager, but the
German admits such a meeting is not possible right now.
"In this moment, I have no time or the capacity to think
about things for the summer," he told reporters.
"Maybe we can have a talk with his agent, but that is
nothing I can think about right now. January is where we
have to think about things we can change in this moment
and the games we have to play in this moment and nothing
else."
Balotelli has been sidelined since late September with a
troublesome groin injury, which required surgery. He has
only managed four appearances and one goal for the
Rossoneri in Serie A this season.
Given Klopp's demands of his forwards in terms of
movement and industry, it is unlikely that Klopp would opt
for the Italy international as one of his attackers next
season.
