Matthias Ginter says he hopes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
and Ilkay Gundogan extend their Borussia Dortmund
contracts amid speculation over their respective futures.
Aubameyang has scored 27 goals in 26 appearances in all
competitions to draw reported interest from the likes of
Arsenal in his signature and missed training on Tuesday due
to a "private appointment".
Gundogan, meanwhile, signed a contract extension until
2017 in the summer but has been linked with Liverpool and
Juventus.
"On and off the pitch [Aubameyang] is very important
because he always creates a good atmosphere in training,"
Ginter said.
"In matches he always puts himself at the service of the
team and is always good for a goal. We hope that he will
remain."
Ginter added: "I hope they [Aubameyang and Gundogan]
extend their contracts. We are all happy when they stay with
us as long as possible."
