Bartholomew Ogbeche joins Dutch side,Willem II

Bartholomew Ogbeche has moved from northern
Netherlands to team up with southern side Willem II on a
two-and-a-half-year deal.

SC Cambuur confirmed they are financially restrained in
keeping their leading top goals scorer for the rest of the
season with their rivals fully ready to employ the Nigerian'
service.

"The rumors were there already, but today the outbound
transfer of Bartholomew Ogbeche has become final. The
striker departs immediately for Willem II and therefore will
not sit tonight in the squad,” Cambuur announced on their
website.

"SC Cambuur in recent weeks has done the utmost to keep
the Nigerian in Leeuwarden, but financially, this was
impossible.

“The striker has listed a clause in his contract and Willem II
was prepared to which, together with his salary
requirements to meet. In Tilburg Ogbeche signed a contract
for 2.5 years.

"As a club we thank 'B' for his contribution over the years
and we wish him every success with his new employer.”

Ogbeche who joined SC Cambuur in 2014 had previously
plied his trade with clubs in Spain, UAE, England and France.

Willem II are currently placed 14th on the Erevidisie log with
19 points.
