Braga's Squads Boot stolen in Marseille

Braga suffered every football team's worst nightmare after
their entire playing squad had their boots stolen ahead of
their Europa League clash with Marseille.

The footwear is believed to have been taken on Wednesday
night and the Portuguese club are concerned there will not
be enough time for them to acquire new pairs before kick-
off.

Braga's players are sponsored by various brands, meaning
they are not allowed to wear boots made by rival retailers,
but Uefa say the Primera Liga side must fulfil the fixture or
face disqualification from the competition and a hefty fine.

Marseille have since made a plane available for club officials
of their opponents to return to Portugal and collect the
necessary footwear, but they have rejected the offer after
citing a lack of time to complete the journey.

Braga have blamed the Ligue 1 side for the robbery, though
there remains a lack of specific information regarding the
incident.
