Tottenham have announced defender Eric Dier has signed a new contract which will tie him to the club until 2020.
The 21-year-old signed a five-year deal upon joining the club from Sporting Lisbon last summer and made 36 appearances in all competitions in Mauricio Pochettino's first season in charge.
Dier has proved a versatile member of the Argentine's squad, having been utilised in multiple positions both in defence and midfield.
He has now extended that contract by a further year after impressing in the opening weeks of the campaign in as a deep-lying midfielder.
