Enyimba defeated Dolphins 2-0 in Aba to maintain their four points lead at the top of the table after Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Week 29 matches played across the country on Sunday.
Two second half goals from Andrew Abalogu and Ifeanyi Anaemena in the 64th and 74thminutes broke the resistance of the Pride of Rivers who suffered their second loss of the season to the People’s Elephant.
Dolphins battled Enyimba hard in the first half and they were able to repel their attacking forays but they had no answers to the rampaging Aba side in the second half.
The Aba giants moved to 55 points from 29 matches and they are still atop the log with four points over Warri Wolves who also beat Kwara United 3-0 in Warri to stay in second with 51 points from 29 matches too.
