The 24-year-old, who has signed a four-year deal, becomes the club's fourth summer signing, following Christian Fuchs, Robert Huth and Shinji Okazaki and first since Claudio Ranieri's appointment.
Kante made 37 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, scoring two goals, as Caen finished 13th, nine points above the relegation zone following promotion the previous summer.
