Jack Wilsherehas accepted a Football Association misconduct charge for starting a foul-mouthed chant about rivals Tottenham duringArsenal's FA Cup celebrations.
The midfielder caused controversy as the Gunners toured north London in an open-top bus, grabbing a microphone and shouting "What do you think of Tottenham?" with supporters replying"s***".
The taunt continued, with Wilshere being informed while on England duty that he faced disciplinary action, despite apologising for his actions in a post on Twitter, and the 23-year-old admitted surprise at the charge.
Wilshere has been warned by Arsenal regarding similar behaviour in the past and requested a non-personal hearing and will now wait for the decision of an independent disciplinary commission over a fine or suspension.
The midfielder, who is currently on international duty, is expected to feature for England against Slovenia on Sunday.
