The former Super Eagles midfielder has revealed that all hands are on deck to ensure the Flying Eagles forward gets a good club in Europe
Ex-international Seyi Olofinjana has assured that Nigeria U20 forward Taiwo Awoniyi will definitely make a good move to Europe when it is time.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers player who owns Imperial Academy where the youth international is plying his club career says the ultimate target is to ensure that the 17-year-old moves to a team where he would grow to become a better footballer.
“We can understand the high expectations surrounding the player’s transfer and that is the more reason we are putting everything into consideration before we commit on his next move,” Olofinjana told AfricanFootball.com.
“What is uppermost is the boy’s development, where he will get a decent chance to grow as a footballer.
“We get offers from almost everywhere in the world for him on a daily basis, but we also know that nothing can happen before he turns 18 in August when he can then sign a professional deal.
“His family is very much up to speed with what is going on and we expect him to now focus on playing for the Nigeria Olympic team before his next birthday and I believe with the amount of work we have put in, he will be in very good hands very soon,” he concluded.
Awoniyi who has been invited to the Nigeria U23 team got two goals for the country at the 2015 Fifa U20 World Cup
