Destro eyeing Monaco Move

The Italy international has downplayed suggestions that he is on the verge of completing his move to the Ligue 1 outfit

Destro esulta dopo il momentaneo 0-1Roma striker Mattia Destro has denied that he has already reached an agreement with Monaco over a summer transfer.

The Italy international spent the second half of last season on loan at Milan, but the San Siro side opted not to make the attacker's stay at the club permanent.

Destro is no longer needed at Roma, though, and the club are happy to cash in on him if a good offer comes in.

A number of recent reports suggested the 24-year-old is set to complete a move to Stade Louis II, but he has insisted there is no truth in those rumours.

"A lot of people have asked me about Monaco and some have even said that I have already signed with them," Destro said on his official Facebook account.

"I do not know where these rumours are coming from, but they are not true. If there is anything official, you will be the first to find out."
Destro's contract with Roma runs until June 2017.
