Mark Clattenburg might be regarded as the best referee in England, but his performance in the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Crystal Palace has left supporters scratching their heads.
The official twice allowed Palace to play on despite first Connor Wickham and then Joel Ward seemed to have shaken off the United players that were fouling them before heading unmarked towards goal.
And with Wayne Rooney also a little fortunate not to concede a penalty for a foul on Wilfried Zaha, many have asked whether Clattenburg was the right man for the big occasion.
Clattenburg is also set to referee next week's Champions League final in Milan, and many are already concerned as to how he will deal with the two Madrid rivals.

Someone needs to turn Clattenburg off and then turn him on again, there’s some sort of glitch.

Rank incompetence from Clattenburg here. Abysmal.

Clattenburg loving the attention so much today he's forgotten how to referee
