Uche: Javi Gracia can count on me at Malaga




The forward is keen to prove he is worthy of his place in the Boquerones squad, claiming he will always work hardIkechukwu Uche has spoken of his excitement at the prospect of playing for La Liga outfit Malaga.

The Nigerian will be featuring for his seventh Spanish side having represented Racing de Ferrol, Recreativo de Huelva, Getafe, Real Zaragoza, Villarreal and Granada where he score 103 goals in 353 appearances.

Now, Uche, who enjoyed a stellar campaign with Yellow Submarine hopes he would do more than enough to stake a claim Javi Gracia’s side.

“It means a lot to me that they contacted me to come here.  I was in no doubt and I’m pleased to be here,” Uche said during his unveiling ceremony.

“ I’m feeling good and very keen to start playing.  Physically I’m in good shape, it’s a good opportunity and I’ll do my best to give my all.”

“I’m eager to get to work and show what I can do in order to help the team.  I’ll work hard every day to support the team to win games, will always be available for the coach to count on me, and support the team

“Every day that passes I learn something and I’m getting to know LaLiga more.  I’ve been here a long time and think I’ve improved in every aspect.

“I’ve learnt a great deal about what LaLiga is.  I’m a striker who does what the coach asks of me.  I will do my best to work hard to benefit the team, helping by scoring goals would be better, so I’ll train hard for that to happen,” he concluded.

The former Super Eaglesforward could also be named in Malaga’s side to face Getafe in a Spanish topflight game on Friday.
