Manchester City want to make West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet their first signing of Pep Guardiola’s era, according to The Sun .
City are targeting Payet as one of the players they want to bring in during this summer’s squad overhaul and would be prepared to spend up to £30 million on the 28-year-old, who moved to Upton Park in a £10.7m deal from Marseille.
But Chelsea are also weighing up a move for the West Ham man, especially if Eden Hazard leaves for Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Arsenal have also been impressed with Payet’s fast start to life in the Premier League, but the report claims that the Gunners are put off by the midfielder’s age and the competition from Chelsea and City.
