Juventus squad escaped unharmed After Paper Bomb Attack

The Juventus squad escaped unharmed after a paper bomb was thrown at the team bus by a Bologna fan ahead of their Serie A clash on Friday evening.

Juve players were leaving the vehicle outside the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara when one of the home supporters threw the bomb, which exploded approximately one metre away from captain Gianluigi Buffon.

Neither the goalkeeper nor his team-mates were injured and the bus suffered no damage, although the Italian champions were visibly shaken by the incident, which took place shortly before the start of the match.

It is still unknown whether officials will investigate the matter and explore potential sanctions against Bologna for failing to control their fans.

Juve are seeking to extend their winning streak to 16 games against Roberto Donadoni's side, having been unbeaten in their last 12 visits to the Dall'Ara.
