The 23-year-old, who has been used everywhere from any position on the left flank to central midfield under the ex- Barcelona trainer, has hailed the boss' strict planning routines that garner success year after year.
“His training sessions are amazing, really special – he reinvented football,” Alaba told BT Sport . “[Pep] thinks about football 24 hours a day.
“He explains to us on the TV what the best way to attack is and what the best way to defend is, so that we are successful in our way.
“I think every year we get better and better because we maybe understand him more than the first month. He prepares us very well before every game - I didn't know I could play as a central defender!”
On the subject of Bayern's current form, the Austrian feels that Pep's methods have once again put the club in good stead to have a successful season as they continue to compete on all fronts.
“I think when we are playing our game and we're doing what the coach wants us to do, then it's not easy to beat us.
“We are on the way to reaching our perfect shape for this
time when the hard games come.”
