Wenger set for Arsenal new deal

Arsene Wenger is close to agreeing a new two-year contract
with Arsenal that will keep him at the club until 2019,
according to The Sun.

The report claims that Wenger’s ‘appetite’ has been reignited
due to Arsenal’s push for the Premier League title this
season.

It’s also claimed that the 66-year-old, whose current deal
expires in 2017, has already made plans to help Arsenal for
the next 10 years by making Steve Rowley the club’s chief
scout, with Steve Morrow leading the side’s youth scouting
network.

Leicester City’s assistant manager Steve Walsh has also
been linked with a move to Arsenal’s backroom team but
the report claims that the Gunners will make a promotion
internally.

An official announcement is not expected to be made until
the end of the season.
