Sunderland complete signing of midfielder Wahbi Khazri from Bordeaux


Sunderland sign Lamine Koné from Lorient for an
undisclosed fee, The Guardian Reported.

The Premier League strugglers Sunderland have
completed the signing of the Tunisia international
Wahbi Khazri from Bordeaux for an undisclosed
fee, believed to be in the region of £9m.

The French-born Khazri, an attacking midfielder, is
Bordeaux’s top scorer in the league this season
with five goals. Sunderland, second from bottom in
the Premier League, also signed the Ivory Coast
central defender Lamine Koné from FC Lorient this
week .

During the transfer window the north-east club
have also recruited the Senegal striker Dame
N’Doye on loan from Turkey’s Trabzonspor and
the defender Jan Kirchhoff from Bayern Munich.

The Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce said of the
24-year-old Khazri: “He is a quick, dynamic
attacking player.”
