Paul Pogba has denied he wants to join Barcelona , but spoke
of his desire to one day surpass Lionel Messi and Cristiano
Ronaldo.
The Juventus midfielder was named in the 2015 FIFPro World
XI after helping the Serie A outfit win the Scudetto, Coppa Italia,
and reach the Champions League final.
Pogba was present in Zurich on Monday as Messi won a record
fifth Ballon d'Or crown, finishing in front of Real Madrid's
Ronaldo.
The 22-year-old said a goal of his is to finish ahead of the two
in the future, but claimed he's never said he wanted to sign for
Barca.
"I've never said that," he told reporters in Zurich. "Right now I
am playing with Juventus."
On his lofty ambitions, he continued: "Maybe one day I can be
among the three finalists. My biggest goal is to win the Ballon
d'Or, but there are a lot of other candidates.
"I used to watch Messi and Ronaldo on TV and played with
them on the Playstation - now I am close to them.
"But my objective is not just to be close to them, I want to be
better than them one day. It is all about putting in the work. I
have to keep working hard and maybe I will get there."
