Norwich City have announced the signing of Timm Klose
from Wolfsburg, pending governing body approval.
The centre-back joins the Canaries on three-and-a-half year
deal for an undisclosed fee and becomes the club’s fourth
signing of an active January.
Klose, 27, featured against Manchester United for Wolfsburg in the Champions League earlier this season and says he’s delighted to be given the chance to play in England.
“It’s always been a dream to play in the Premier League and
Norwich have given me that chance,” the Switzerland
international told the club’s official website.
“When I came here and saw the training ground, the stadium and everything… it was fantastic.
“Now I want to give everything I can to be a good player in
this league.”
Norwich manager Alex Neil said of his new player: “He’s got good technical ability and is solid in the air. He can also play as a full-back.”
Klose was born in Frankfurt, but qualifies for Switzerland
through his mother’s side of the family.
Prior to moving to Wolfsburg, he played for FC Basel, FC
Thun and Nurnberg.
Matt Jarvis, Ivo Pinto and Ben Godfrey have already signed
for the club this month as Neil bids to keep the club in the
Premier League following last season’s promotion.
