Young Polish goalkeeper Kamil Grabara was at Melwood on
Wednesday to discuss and finalise a move to Liverpool’s
Kirkby Academy.
The 16-year-old, who celebrates his birthday this week, met
key figures at the club at the training complex and is
expected to have a medical and become part of Neil
Critchley's Under-18s squad in a £250,000 deal.
The talented teenager, who is on the books of Poland top-
flight side Ruch Chorzow, is also reported to have courted
interest from both Manchester City and Manchester United.
He has already made his U17 international debut.
Ruch president Dariusz Smagorowicz said: “Grabara has
been with us for 12 years.
“A few months ago we signed a contract with him to keep
him until 2018, and now Liverpool want to have him.”
The Merseysiders have already announced the signing of
19-year-old Marko Grujic on a five-year deal and Grabara
looks set to be the next starlet to join the Anfield outfit.
