Bala Nkiyu’s girls arrived in the capital city of Namibia in search for maximum points to boost their World Cup qualification hopes
Nigeria U17 Women team landed in Windhoek on Wednesday ahead their 2016 Fifa U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Namibia on Friday.
The Flamingoes need at least a draw to scale through to the next round of qualifiers having edged the Baby Gladiator 4-0 in the first leg player at the National Stadium, Abuja.
“We are confident that we will progress into the last round of the qualifiers. Though, we will not under-rate the Baby Gladiators,” captain Rasheedat Ajibade told the NFF website.
“Our Coaches have been telling us to forget the result of the first leg and play the second leg match as if we lost the first leg. Our spirit is high and we will do the country proud.”
The winner of this fixture will play South Africa’s U17 girls, who have reached the final round of the qualification series following the withdrawal of Zambia.
