At the Etihad, Sergio Aguero scored twice as Manchester City cruised to a 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

difference at the summit ahead of their nearest rivals'
weekend fixtures and acts as a welcome tonic to Wednesday
night's frustrating 0-0 draw against Everton at the Etihad
Stadium.

Also, at Vitality Stadium, Dan Gosling and Charlie Daniels put Eddie Howe's side in control against their relegation rivals before Benik Afobe grabbed his first goal for the club to seal three points.

comfortable 3-0 victory over relegation rivals Norwich City.

Mean While at Villa Park , Substitute Rudy Gestede snatched a point for bottom club Aston Villa against Leicester City, who edged back to the top of the Premier League table with a 1-1 draw.

Shinji Okazaki broke the deadlock after 28 minutes when the
goal decision system confirmed his close-range effort was
over the line despite the best efforts of Villa goalkeeper Mark
Bunn.

Riyad Mahrez had a first-half penalty saved by Bunn and
Villa, aiming to build on their first league win since the
opening day of the season against Crystal Palace in
midweek, improved considerably after the break.

John Terry's 98th-minute equaliser rescued a point for
Chelsea and capped a thrilling and controversial finish to
their 3-3 draw against Everton.

Ramiro Funes Mori had put Everton ahead in the 90th
minute after the Toffees had blown a two-goal lead but Terry
equalised deep into stoppage time from an offside position
to preserve Guus Hiddink's unbeaten start.

West Ham got a consolation goal from Jelavic as the match ended 2-1.

And, Southampton at the St Marys claimed back-to-back victories in the Premier League for the first time since early November thanks to a James Ward-Prowse double in their 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

An early free kick and a penalty earned the
midfielder a double at St. Mary's and Dusan Tadic
came off the bench to wrap up a straightforward
victory for the Saints.

Finally, Tottenham had Christian Eriksen's brace to thank for
Saturday's 4-1 victory over Sunderland that put them within
four points of the top of the Premier League.

Mauricio Pochettino's men have established themselves as
one of the title dark horses this season, but saw their climb
temporarily halted by a 1-0 home defeat to rivals Leicester
City on Wednesday.
