360 Official: Moses Etu named as Warri Wolves Chairman


Ace sports journalist, Moses Etu has been named the
chairman of CAF Champions League campaigners, Warri
Wolves after the Delta State Government dissolved the
Davidson Owumi-led Seasiders’ management.

Etu who served as the Media Officer in the dissolved Warri
Wolves management has risen to become the chairman of
the team and has been saddled with the task of ensuring
that the club makes appreciable impact on the continent this
year with the team’s CAF Champions League assignment
billed to start next month.

According to Goal, Etu stated that he was
elated with the appointment and that he would use the
position to ensure that Warri Wolves return to the pinnacle of
Nigerian football.

He added that his immediate preoccupation would be to
ensure that the club ends its barren spell both in Nigeria and
on the continent after the club has yet to win any silverware
since formation some years back.

Etu told Goal: “I am happy with the appointment and I want
to say that I will use the position to effect the necessary
changes in the team. We will ensure that Warri Wolves
return to the spotlight again and the club’s inability to win
silverware will end too during my time. We will ensure that
Warri Wolves give Nigeria a good representation in the CAF
Champions League.”

He further affirmed that Warri Wolves players and officials
would resume for the new season on Thursday this week
with n o changes expected to be made in the technical crew
while players that would be told to seek another club would
be briefed as soon as training starts.

Warri Wolves placed second in the league last season with
66 points from 38 matches and they alongside Enyimba will
hoist Nigeria’s flag in the CAF Champions League.
