Both Messi and Neymar have been named among the
finalists to win the award, along with the Real Madrid
superstar, who has scored 16 goals in 18 appearances thus
far this season.
Alves, though, does not think Ronaldo should not still be in
the running.
"Messi is a bit ahead, because of his influence on the game,"
Alves told reporters. "I think at this moment, Neymar is
second best in the world.
"Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't deserve to be among the Ballon
d'Or finalists. It's not only about scoring goals.”
