Manchester United striker Anthony Martial will turn 20 on Saturday and while training at Carrington went ahead as usual, he was at least treated to a birthday cake.
The Frenchman and his team-mates were pictured in high spirits as they entered the Lowry Hotel on the eve of the Premier League match against West Ham, the club chef following closely behind with the festive dessert.
Martial became the most expensive teenager in football history when he signed for United in a £36million deal from Monaco in the summer; and the fee could rise to as much as £57.6m with various performance-based add-ons.
