Klopp Rules out Gerrard loan move to Anfield

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Steven Gerrard will not be
returning to Liverpool on loan over the Christmas period.

Reports have suggested that Klopp is open to the idea of
bringing back Liverpool’s former captain on a temporary
deal from LA Galaxy until the middle of January.

And while Klopp admits he has been in contact with the 35-
year-old, he insists the midfielder will only be able to train
with the team.

"All I can say is that I've had contact with Stevie - one phone
call and a few messages,” said the Liverpool manager.

"He is a legend. If he's in Liverpool and wants to train ahead
of next season in LA that's absolutely no problem. Nothing
else."
