Former Brazil coach Mano Menezes says he does not expect a major overhaul of the Selecao following the Copa America.

On Thursday, current boss Dunga will name his squad for the upcoming Chevrolet Brasil Global Tour double-header with USA and Costa Rica, in what will be the first call-ups since June's quarter-final exit at the hands of Paraguay.

But despite that disappointment in Chile, Menezes believes Dunga will keep faith in the bulk of the players who led him to 10 consecutive Chevrolet Brasil Global Tour victories since last year's World Cup.

"I don't think Dunga will change a lot," Menezes told SporTV.

"He always keeps the core of his squad and makes little changes. There will be one or two new additions but that won't be because of the early elimination from the Copa America."

Menezes succeeded Dunga as Brazil coach in 2010 following a World Cup quarter-final defeat to Netherlands, overseeing a complete renovation of the squad that saw current captain Neymar handed his debut.

The former Gremio and Corinthians boss lost his job shortly before Confederations Cup in 2013, replaced by Luiz Felipe Scolari after a change of presidency at the CBF saw new president Jose Maria Marin elect to bring in his own man.

"When there was the change of presidency, with the departure of Ricardo Teixeira and the entrance of Marin, we had a meeting," Menezes said.

"I understood his right to choose another professional to take my place. I had been chosen by another president."

Menezes, who is currently taking a break from the game after a brief return to Corinthians in 2014, achieved 21 wins and six draws in his 33 games as Brazil coach.

Following his departure, Scolari quickly established a core base to the squad after two years of Menezes experimenting with different shapes and personnel.

And Menezes believes it is important for Dunga to maintain continuity in his squad selection.

"I was very accused of changing a lot," he added. "They wanted me to define a base.

The truth is that the sooner the coach can do so, the better for him in this job."

Dunga is expected to welcome back a number of first-team players who missed out on the Copa America through injury, with Real Madrid's Danilo, Chelsea's Oscar, and Wolfsburg's Luiz Gustavo all set to return.
