NPFL:Heartland 2-0 FC Taraba {Ejike & Koffi lift Naze Millionaires in Oba}


First half strikes from the duo were enough to earn the Owerri side maximum points at their adopted home near Onitsha on Sunday evening

Shooting Stars - 3SC vs HeartlandHeartland have made a winning start to life at the Rojenny Sports Complex, Oba after they defeated FC Taraba 2-0 on Sunday evening in a NPFL Week 13 tie.

The Naze Millionaires were ordered to play on a neutral ground by the League Management Company as their fortress; Dan Anyiam Stadium must go through renovation for it to be certified fit by the league organiser.

Bright Ejike brought smiles to the faces of the few fans of the Owerri side that thronged the stadium in the sixth minute when he got the opener before Roland Koffi’s 31st minute goal kept the match beyond the reach of the Jalingo Boys.

Heartland move to 21 points from 13 games after securing their seventh league win of the season while FC Taraba are on 11 points from 13 matches.
