Romamidfielder Miralem Pjanic claims compatriot Edin Dzeko "would run" to join him at the Serie A club.
Manchester City striker Dzeko has been linked with a move to the Stadio Olimpico, having found regular game time hard to come by in 2014-15.
The 29-year-old appeared only 22 times in the Premier League last term, his lowest tally since 2010-11, when he played 15 matches in his first season in Manchester after joining during the January transfer window.
And Bosnia-Herzegovina team-mate Pjanic has fuelled speculation that Dzeko will be playing in Italynext season by suggesting the Blues star would even be willing to take a pay cut to leave the Etihad Stadium.
"Dzeko would run to Roma and the wages won't be aproblem, as he'd adjust to them," he told Romanews.eu.
"It all depends on the club.
"Dzeko scored six goals in 31 appearances in all competitions last season.
