The 35-year-old will be hoping to make history against Juventus by winning two domestic and European trebles in his career before joining Qatari club Al Sadd this summer.
And Beckham, who competed against Xavi during a four-year spell at Real Madrid, took to Instagram to voice his admiration for the World Cup-winning playmaker.
"24 years , 24 trophies including a World Cup .. Loved by his city, his country and the world of football... It was an honour to have played against a player with so much ability and that was a true gentleman on and and off the field ... You will be missed .." Beckham wrote.
