Maniyela Okomo to officiate Nigeria/Mali Olympic qualifier qualifier


Caf has picked the Guinean referee to take charge of the Super Falcons game against Mali in Saturday's Olympic football qualifier

Super Falcons vs LionessesManiyela Edu Okomo will take charge of Saturday's Rio 2016 Olympic African women football final qualifying round, first leg clash between Nigeria and Mali.

Okomo will be assisted in Abuja by Guinean compatriots Margarita Engono Abang and Juliana Onva Okomo, while Fatou Seye Ndeye from Senegal serves as reserve referee.

Congo's Delly Mankou Elise will serve as the Match Commissioner.

Meanwhile, Caf has ratified the Nigeria's appeal for the reverse fixture of the Mali versus African champions in Bamako to take place a week after the May 9 first leg in Abuja.

The NFF had earlier requested for a shift forward by two weeks to avail the Super Falcons depart early for a training tour of Europe to finalise their preparation for the upcoming 2015 Fifa Women's World Cup that begins on June 6.
