The Peoples' Elephant have revealed their newest club badge as they hope to chart a new course for the club after 39 years of existence.
The club that was founded in 1976 by the then Imo State before Abia State was formed in 1991, with Sir Jerry Amadi Enyeazu as the Director of Sports, had its first logo designed same year.
They later redesigned in 2002 before the latest on May 8, 2015.
The People's Elephant have from 2001 till date, won the African Champions League twice making history as the first Nigerian side to win the coveted title – a feat they achieved back-to-back in 2003 and 2004 respectively.
The Aba side were Nigeria league title winners six times and three-time champions of the Federation Cup.
The management of the Aba outfit, said the decision to review its logo design was in view of redesigning a new future with the club's great memories.
"Finally, May 8th is here and our new logo will be unveiled," the club announced via their official Twitter account.
"39 years ago, our club was established by Sir Jerry Amadi Enyeazu, the Director of Sports in the newly created Imo State.
"Our beginnings may have been humble, but we had big aspirations. Finally, it was redesigned in 2002 after the successes of the club in the Premier League in 01 & 02.
"By 2010, we had achieved great success by winning our 6th league title and decided to refresh our look.
"Deciding to improve our badge was not only a reflection of the success we had achieved, but the direction we were headed.
"Today, we believe the elephant hoisting a flag or kicking a ball no longer reflects who we truly are nor where we want to go," it continued.
"A bigger and stronger Elephant is here. A powerful Elephant for these times and for the future.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you, the new badge of Enyimba Football Club," it concluded.
