Super Falcons have another test against Mali after their AAG qualifier win.
With the Super Falcons Olympic games qualifier against Mali slated for May 9, Coach of the team, Edwin Okon has revealed that he is happy with the player’s level of fitness as they stepped up the pace to 2 training a day to increase the agility of the players stressing the qualifying games are a must win for his team.
The Coach said his team was over its victory in the All African games qualifiers, and will rather tread cautiously to avoid the embarrasment of failing to qualify for the last Summer Olympics in London.
” We just played a tune up game to study the level of fitness of the girls and we were really impressed. Everything now points towards the Olympic Games qualifiers as we’ve long put the All Africa Games qualification test behind us, this is an even bigger test.
” We’ve stepped up our preparation, training twice a day because the Olympic Games qualification is a must win bearing in mind that we missed out of a place in the last one. We are preparing seriously for the May 9 meeting,” Okon told Footballlive.
