Manchester United star Angel Di Maria turned 27 in February. At the moment, Di Maria is on the fringes of Louis van Gaal’s first team and has not settled in at Old Trafford as well as could be hoped.

Partly this has been due to injury and off the pitch it is understood that Di Maria suffered when his house was burgled.

Video footage has now emerged of Di Maria receiving a surprise on his birthday.

Di Maria’s wife brought over a number of Angel’s friends from Argentina and surprised the Manchester United star in what looks like a hotel room.

The footage is a little grainy, but its quite clear how emotional Di Maria is over the surprise.
