WEST HAM WINGER JARVIS JOINS NORWICH ON LOAN

Norwich City have signed West Ham wingerMatt Jarvis on a season-long loan.

The 29-year-old, who joined West Ham from Wolves in a £10.7 million deal in 2012, made just 13 appearances under Sam Allardyce last season.

Jarvis has featured in three of West Ham's Premier League games under Slaven Bilic this term but has now been allowed to join Carrow Road for the remainder of the campaign.

Jarvis, who has been capped once by England, is Norwich's seventh signing of the summer window following the arrivals of Graham Dorrans, Youssouf Mulumbu, Robbie Brady, Andre Wisdom, Jake Kean and Dieumerci Mbokani.

WOLFSBURG WANT TO ANNOY BAYERN - DANTE

Dante has warned former club Bayern Munich that Wolfsburg are out to "annoy" the Bundesliga champions this season.

The Brazilian centre-back, 31, swapped the Allianz Arena for the Volkswagen Arena before the end of the German transfer window on Monday after three trophy-laden seasons in Munich.

Wolfsburg were Bayern's closest challengers in the Bundesliga last season, and they followed up their DFB-Pokal win by beating the Bavarian giants in last month's DFL-Supercup.

Dante thinks that his new club - who also signed Julian Draxler on Monday after the sale of Kevin De Bruyne to Manchester City- are ready to fight his former employers again this term.

"Wolfsburg are trying to improve and this is also my goal," explained the 31-year-old. "We want to annoy Bayern Munich. We know it will be difficult but we will give everything we have got.

"I think it was a very good time at Bayern. It was a nice story, a very good three years. I won many titles there, but now it is over.

"I have to look forward. Now I will give everything I have got for Wolfsburg to help my team-mates."

Wolfsburg are back in action following the completion of the international break fortnight, when they travel to Ingolstadt.

Manchester United have announced the signing of Anthony Martial from Monaco.

The 19-year-old was linked with Tottenham earlier this summer before penning a new contract at Stade Louis II but now becomes Louis van Gaal's sixth summer signing for a reported fee of £36 million (€50m).

Martial, who was handed his first senior call-up to the France squad this week, was given permission to leave the international camp and complete a move Monaco claim could eventually be worth £58.7m (€80m).

"I'm so excited to join United," said Martial upon signing a four-year contract with the option for a further year. "I've always wanted to play in the Premier League and I look forward to meeting my team-mates."
Manager Van Gaal added: "Anthony is a talented young forward with great potential. I believe this is the club for him to continue his development."

OFFICIAL: AC MILAN LOAN MATRI TO LAZIO

Alessandro Matri has left AC Milan once again to join Serie A rivals Lazio on a season-long loan deal just over three months after consigning the Rome club to defeat in the Coppa Italia final. 

The 31-year-old striker spent time at Genoa and Juventus during the 2014-15 campaign and has now been allowed to make the move to the Stadio Olimpico. 

Matri scored Juve's winner in the Coppa final against Lazio back in May, so the experienced frontman will be eager to hit the ground running in order to win over his new club's fans. 

The arrivals of Carlos Bacca, Mario Balotelli and Luiz Adriano ensured Matri's chances of featuring for Milan this season looked even more slim.

OFFICIAL: HERNANES SIGNS FOR JUVENTUS

Juventus have confirmed the signing ofHernanes from Serie A rivals Inter.

The 30-year-old emerged as a last-minute target for the Bianconeri, who watched their top creative midfield target Julian Draxler join Wolfsburg on Monday.

With Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal having been sold to New York City and Bayern Munich respectively this summer, the Scudetto holders were in dire need of a proven midfielder to bolster their squad ahead of the transfer window's closure.

Having completed a medical on Monday, Hernanes has put pen to paper on a three-year deal, with his new club paying €11 million for his services with up to €2m more in add ons.

NEWCASTLE YOUNGSTER KEMEN MOVES TO LYON

Olivier Kemen has left Newcastle United forLyon having failed to make a senior appearance at St James' Park in two years.

The 19-year-old arrived from Metz in 2013, but could not make an impact on the first-team picture under Alan Pardew and Steve McClaren and moves back to Ligue 1 for a reported fee of €750,000 (£550,000).

The fee could rise depending on performance-related incentives and has signed a four-year deal with Lyon.

Roma have confirmed the arrivals ofEmerson Palmieri and Ezequiel Ponce fromSantos and Newell's Old Boys respectively.

The Giallorossi have been busy in the transfer window, signing the likes of Wojciech Szczesny, Lucas Digne, Mohamed Salah, Antonio Rudiger and Edin Dzeko.

And they have pushed two late deals over the line late on Serie A's deadline day, moving for the Brazilian defender and the Argentine attacker.

Emerson, who joins on loan, spent last season at Palermo and made nine first-team appearances for the Sicilians.

Ponce, meanwhile, arrives on a permanent deal for an initial €4.2 million having signed a five-year contract at the Stadio Olimpico side.

CONFIRMED: STROOTMAN TO UNDERGO MORE KNEE SURGERY

Roma star Kevin Strootman has revealed he will have another operation on his injured left knee on Tuesday.

The Netherlands international was ruled out of last summer's World Cup after suffering a torn cruciate ligament that kept him out of action for nine months.

Strootman then made his comeback towards the end of 2014 but cartilage damage - brought on by a condition called Cyclops Syndrome - has kept him on the sidelines ever since.

The 25-year-old was expected to return at the start of this season but has been advised to have yet another operation in a bid to save his career.

In a lengthy post on Twitter, he said: "There has been a lot of speculation in the media about my rehabilitation.

"Unfortunately due to a lack of power in my left leg I can't compete at the highest level right now. Over the last few weeks we have consulted many top professors from all over.

"They have recommended - along with the Roma medical staff - that I have the ACL reconstructed into another position in order for me to have less problems with my knee in the future and to regain my power again.

"I will undergo surgery this morning. I am hugely disappointed I can't contribute to Roma and the Dutch national team for the next few months but will everything to get back on the pitch as quickly as possible."

Transfer Talk: Rojo Wants United Stay

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojowants to stay and fight for his place at Old Trafford, amid reports off a possible deadline day exit.

Rojo is yet to feature for United this season, after failing to link up with his team-mates during the club's pre-season tour of the United States in July, while the Argentina international has been linked to Monaco.

Louis van Gaal has preferred makeshift centre-back Daley Blind alongside Chris Smalling since then, but Rojo has no intention of leaving Manchester after just one season, despite offers from elsewhere.

"I have received offers but my idea is to stay here [United] and fight for a position because it is a great club,' the 25-year-old told ESPN Radio.

"I'll try to play as much as possible. I talked to Van Gaal when I returned and was upset by everything that had happened but he said he was counting on me."

West Ham have confirmed Alex Song has returned to the club on a season-long loan from Barcelona. 


Song impressed initally at Upton Park last season before his form fell off towards the end of the campaign, with co-chairman David Sullivan admitting a permanent move would be a gamble for the club.

But the 27-year-old had his loan return to West Ham confirmed by David Gold earlier on Tuesday, with Sullivan's son, Jack, claiming on Monday evening that the club retain the option to extend by a further year.

Everton have completed the signing of Ramiro Funes Mori from River Plate for £9.5 million.

A deal for the 24-year-old has been in the offing for a number of days, with Funes Mori in attendance for Everton's 2-0 loss to Manchester City on August 23, and the Argentine has now penned a five-year deal.

Funes becomes Roberto Martinez's sixth summer signing after the arrivals of Tom Cleverley, Gerard Deulofeu, David Henen, Mason Holgate and Leandro Rodriguez and will wear the No.25 shirt.

I Have Been Unfairly Punished By PSG - Van der Wiel

Paris Saint-Germain right-back Gregory van der Wiel says he has been unfairly punished by the club after suffering an Achilles injury.

The Netherlands international picked up the problem several weeks ago and as a result opted to sit out an additional training session put on by coach Laurent Blanc.

However, the club deemed that Van der Wiel had refused to participate and he was subsequently banished from the squad for the game against Montpellier on August 21.

"I had some trouble with my Achilles," Van der Wiel told Goal. 

"But it wasn't clear for the technical staff. When they wanted to do an extra training session I thought it was better to rest. They saw that as a refusal of work and for that I was punished.

"It's a strange world, the world of football. This is how it goes. For three years I gave everything for the club. I didn't play much in the first year, but the last two I did.

"Suddenly, I don't play at all anymore. This is not how you must treat people. But it's useless to become angry."

Nigeria striker Taiwo Awoniyi has joined English Premier League outfit, Liverpool from Imperial Academy.

The 18-year-old forward who was part of the Flying Eagles squad to the Fifa U20 World Cup and currently represents the Nigeria U23 has been sent on loan to Bundesliga side FSV Frankfurt.

“This is the biggest club in the world and I’m privileged to be here,” Awoniyi told Liverpoolfc.com.

“I’ll try to develop myself very well so that when I come back to Liverpool I’ll be able to add value to the team.

“When I’m in the red shirt, I will always give my very best to make the fans happy,” he concluded.

He would be hoping to get regular playing time at Bundesliga 2 side FSV Frankfurt under manager Tomas Oral.
